Janet Aitken is best known for her BC Landscapes in water media. Her love of the outdoors is evident in her paintings. Her kayaking, sailing, hiking and travel experiences provide a rich array of subject matter. Janet is an avid bird watcher, photographer and is passionate about protecting the environment. 

Artist Statement:  I paint because I love to play with colours.  It brings me hours of pure pleasure.  Painting seems to be the ideal way to express my appreciation of nature.
