Donelle was born in Victoria, B.C., the eldest of 5 children. She was raised on the island, married and moved to the United States with her husband and 3 children. She worked in the dental field for over 23 years returning to Canada in 1993. As a child she spent many hours drawing and learning from her Grandfather who was a very talented artist and musician.
Although mostly self taught, she dabbled in oils, taking a course here and there as time allowed. Now in retirement has the time to devote to her art work and has found that since joining the Blind ay Painters has become more motivated by the members and friends and has discovered an interest in working in Pastels.
