Blind Bay Painters Art Show – Jun 30th and July 1st 2017

Blind Bay is always busy during the summer months, but it will be really hopping on this very special 150 Anniversary of Canada, Canada Day celebration at Blind Bay.  Blind Bay celebrations always include a parade, events at Centennial Park, and a spectacular fireworks show right over the beautiful Shuswap Lake.  Just walking distance from the park is the Blind Bay Community Hall, which is home to the annual Blind Bay Painters Annual Art Show!  Come check out the great artwork on display at Reedman Gallery in the Blind Bay Hall, browse upstairs at the Artist Boutique for gift items such as art cards and art prints, artisan works such as glass works and jewelry or have a treat at the complimentary coffee/beverage bar (donation graciously accepted) all air conditioned during the hot Shuswap days of June and July!  Don’t miss out!  For more information about other Canada Day Events, go to

Shuswap Lake Culture Crawl – Art Show and Artists at Work  –  May 20th and 21st 2017

The Shuswap will be the place to be, come this May long weekend.  Along with Carlin Hall, Cedar Heights Community Centre, Notch Hill, Quaaout Lodge, and Sunnybrae association, Shuswap Artisan Market, and various other venues, the Blind Bay Hall will be participating in a community wide Culture Crawl.  Each venue will offer different events from a BBQ and concert, culinary experiences, historical talk and museum tour, Aboriginal art, and music instrument swap and concert, artisan market, and and art show and sale!   The Blind Bay Hall will offer both an art show and sale in the Reedman Gallery, from the Blind Bay Painters, and an interactive “Artist at Work” showing where people are encouraged to come meet the artist and ask questions while they paint and work on their art.   The Blind Bay Painters group have several artists that work in all types of mediums, from acrylics, pastels, watercolours, mixed mediums/collage, and Chinese brushwork.  The group loves to challenge themselves with new techniques and are very open about sharing what they know.   So stop by…  For more information about the Shuswap Lake Culture Crawl, go to South Shuswap Art Council.  Questions about the Blind Bay Painters Art Show and Sale or Interactive “Artist at Work”, use the contact us form and we will get back to you.

The Arts OnSite with Lady Nature

The Arts OnSite with Lady Nature is a new initiative put on by The Third House Interactive Multimedia.  Do you write, dance, play in theatre, paint, draw, compose music or pursue any other creative passion in the arts? If you do, then you are invited to join in and participate in The Arts OnSite with Lady Nature. Beginning Monday, May 1st at 9:00 a.m. they will meet weekly in the far northwest corner of the Shuswap Lake Estates parking lot, lower level. From here they will carpool to a preselected outdoor space, nearby, to spend the day creating and enjoying nature. Got questions? Shuswap Artisan Market – 1249 TCH, Sorrento opening May 16th with Grand Opening on Sat. May 20th.   Open Tues. – Sat. 10 – 4:30 pm for May and June, then 7 days a week for summer months. Closing on Thanksgiving weekend in October.

Reedman Gallery Artist Collaborative – at the Blind Bay Hall, 2510 Blind Bay Rd.    Opening on July 6th, will be open Thursdays to Sundays 10 to 4, closing on August 27th, Sunday.

Judy Mackenzie Texture and Glazing Workshop – Wed April 26 (9-3pm) and May 3rd (9-3pm) 2017
