Jean Christie is one of the founding members of the Sorrento Seven Group of Artists. Her art education spans over forty years with numerous college courses and workshops. She has been a member of Blind Bay Painters, Shuswap Federation of Arts, and Federation of Canadian Artists. Collectors enjoy her works both internationally and throughout Western Canada.
Jean was born in Watrous, Saskatchewan and moved to Northern British Columbia at an early age. During her working life she was a Registered Nurse and Mother. Jean and her husband Doug raised five children. She moved to the Shuswap many years ago with her family.
