Carrie George’s Art

Carrie George’s Art

I started painting in 2004 with lessons in toll painting, then fairly soon switched to painting on canvas.  Fortunately, I had an accomplished artist to coach me through the first few years.  Landscapes with old buildings, fence posts and dead trees are what I most like to do.

Except for a small foray into oils, I have always painted in acrylics and find this medium to be the most satisfying.  There are many other mediums to learn and this year I took a workshop on texture with acrylics.  My next challenge may very well be the new water immersible paints.

My family and friends have been very supportive and it delights me that many of my paintings hang in their homes.
