Shuswap Artisan Market – Christmas in July

Shuswap Artisan Market – Christmas in July

One of my favourite things about the Shuswap is all the artisan markets that are available during the summer.  Besides all the natural beauty all around you in the Shuswap, a stroll in an air-conditioned artisan market depicting beautiful paintings, jewelry, woodworks, leatherwork, pottery, fiberart, repurposed beachy furniture and so much more, is certainly a feast for the eyes and soul.  We have a lot of very talented artists and artisans in the Shuswap so the work is of top quality and so creative!  We all learn from and inspire each other!   Today’s feature artisan market is “Shuswap Artisan Market” in Sorrento!  This market has over 22 artisans with a large variety of art and artisan works. This week (July 22-30th) they are showcasing “Christmas in July”, so pop by and get your Christmas shopping done early!  It’s located in Sorrento right beside the Lighthouse Market on the TransCanada Hwy (1245 TCH).  If you are interested in finding out more about the market, here is the Facebook link  Shuswap Artisan Market

Shuswap Winter Artist and Artisan Markets

The Shuswap area has a number of artisan markets that occur in November and December just in time for that special gift you need for a dear friend, family both here and afar, and even for yourself (just in case Santa forgets!).  With the wide range of artists and artisans within the Shuswap region, gifts can range from hand made apparel, beautiful original paintings, fibre art, handmade soaps, woodwork, ornaments, jewelry, and the popular repurposed items, where used throwaway items are refurbished to create something beautiful again.   Several shows are held every year all within the Shuswap region.  Keep checking to see the new dates for them for 2017!
