Celebrating Canada Day Our Way!

Celebrating Canada Day Our Way!

The Blind Bay Painters are celebrating Canada Day their way by hosting an art show and sale for the community! There are over 120 pieces of artwork and several boutique items all original works from local artists just a hop skip and a jump from the Centennial field where much of the celebrations are held at Blind Bay! Door prizes are given out daily; yesterday’s door prize painting was won by Diana Crinion! Come enjoy the artwork, and if something moves you, pick one up for your home or a gift. Artists are here to talk about the works and we have free goodies and coffee/beverages while you sit and relax and remember why it’s so great to be Canadian!

The Great Escape

The Great Escape

So we are now past mid January, the time of year when everyone in Canada starts looking for an escape.  An escape from the cold; an escape from the darkness.  Something to get our juices flowing in anticipation of a great day!  The great escape can take the form of many things.  For many, it’s a trip to a warmer climate to get a break from the cold and enjoy some sunshine, and new scenery. For others, it’s enjoying some new activity or taking a course, something that gets those brain cells focused on something interesting. And yet for others, it can be simply looking at winter a little differently…finding that special hike or view spot that reminds us that winter can be colourful and beautiful.  Or maybe, it’s  looking at inspiring art to remind us of beauty all around us!

So do whatever allows you to enjoy a great escape this January.  Appreciate art; appreciate life!  To see more art from these artists, go to their art page on the artist menu.
