While the weather is great in Shuswap, the smoke today is tending to put a damper on the typical outdoor activities.  Thankfully a drive in a air filtered air-conditioned car is not out of the question.  Great time to take family and visitors to the great artisan markets in the neighbourhood.   Today’s feature artisan market is the “Reedman Gallery Artisan Collaborative” right in the Shuswap, in the Reedman Gallery in Blind Bay Hall.  This is right across from Sandy Beach just off of Blind Bay Road.  A stroll through the market is just the thing that can lift one’s spirits from the smoky exterior going on right now!   If you are interested in finding out more about the market, here is the Facebook link  Reedman Gallery Artist Collaborative

Shuswap Winter Artist and Artisan Markets

The Shuswap area has a number of artisan markets that occur in November and December just in time for that special gift you need for a dear friend, family both here and afar, and even for yourself (just in case Santa forgets!).  With the wide range of artists and artisans within the Shuswap region, gifts can range from hand made apparel, beautiful original paintings, fibre art, handmade soaps, woodwork, ornaments, jewelry, and the popular repurposed items, where used throwaway items are refurbished to create something beautiful again.   Several shows are held every year all within the Shuswap region.  Keep checking to see the new dates for them for 2017!
