In the late 70’s, I started working with stained glass. I loved the finished result but found the glass too rigid of a material to fully express my creativity. In the 80’s I discovered clay, and joined the Dawson Creek Potter’s Guild, and later the Prince George Potter’s Guild. I experimented with functional and primitive firings. This kept me occupied until I moved to Blind Bay in 1997. I joined the Chase Art Group in 2002 and the Blind Bay Painters in 2010.
I love painting, it is fluid, colourful and there are a lot of different mediums in which to experiment. Best of all, it’s portable! I have taken workshops with Sharyn Olfert, Gay Adams, David Langevin and Joyce Popein.
