High Caliber Art Workshops in the Shuswap

We are lucky here in the Shuswap to have so many individuals interested in art that we are able to bring in some very talented artists to host workshops.  This fall we first had  the Jonn Einerssen workshop at Shuswap Lake Estates, organized by Carol Warkentin, a Blind Bay Painter.  Jonn always shows you how you can make your painting the best it can be and offers much experience and knowledge with using acrylics and oils.Jonn Einerssen

Jonn pairs up with his also talented buddy, Vance Theoret, who teaches the fine art of soap stone carving while the painting workshop is going on for Jonn.    Its always amazing to see how quickly these lumps of stones become fine works of art!

All participants are pleased to go home with a piece of art that they love which is why we keep coming back again and again. You can see some of Jonn’s art on his website – www.einerssen.com  and Vance Theoret’s on https://www.vancetheoret.com

We also had a new artist from Comox, Brian Buckrell,  come in to teach a workshop at the Blind Bay Hall, organized by Agnes Nykiforuk. Brian is a very talented acrylic painter  and the hall was booked to capacity for his class.

Brian’s known for his abstractified landscapes full of colour and provided both great technical information as well as sharing his practical experiences.  You can see more of his work on his website https://www.brianbuckrell.com

We look forward to what fall of 2019 brings!
